PE Kit
For health, hygiene and safety reasons, children come to school in their PE kit on their designated PE days. For any extra-curricular activities which require a PE kit, children bring kit from home on the required day. This needs to be in small drawstring style bag so that they can be stored easily.
Indoor PE:
Children should wear navy blue or black shorts (of an appropriate length) and a pale blue T-shirt, available from the school, and plimsolls.
Outdoor PE:
Children should wear navy blue or black shorts (of an appropriate length), leggings or tracksuit bottoms, a pale blue T-shirt and trainers.
School hoodies are also available to wear on PE days and are available to buy on School Spider.
Please refrain from heavily branded sportswear for PE kit.
Earrings, must be removed by the child before PE lessons. (For Health and Safety reasons adults are not permitted to remove earrings from children.)
All uniform items MUST be clearly labelled to ensure lost items can be returned to their owners
Equipment
Children need to bring a water bottle filled with water only, to school each day. This needs to be in a sports cap style lidded bottle to avoid spillages. These can be bought from school or other suppliers. However, we ask that parents refrain from branded and expensive water bottles as these can cause distractions and unhelpful comparisons. All water bottles should be named.
Children can bring a book bag style bag to school each day for carrying books and other items to school. Large rucksacks are not permitted as we do not have the space to store these in school. Book Bags can be purchased through school.
Children do not need to bring any stationery into school as we will supply necessary equipment for the children. However, we know that children often like to have their own pencil case and stationery items, we ask that these are small in size and do not contain any sharp items e.g compass, scissors. At times, these items can cause a distraction to learning, if this is the case, staff may restrict items at their discretion.
