Hola! Welcome to the Year 5 class page. 

Our class is taught by Mrs Wilde Monday, Tuesday morning, Thursday and Friday and Mrs Watkins on Wednesdays.  We are supported by Miss Grady for three mornings as we share her with Class 6. 

In Year 5 we learn about lots of exciting things and we get to go on a residential to Kingswood.  Here are some of the brilliant things we do/learn about: Space, Rainforests, Vikings & Anglo-Saxons, rivers, canals and railways, Ancient Maya, plants and animals and much more.

Our PE days are Tuesday and Friday.  On Tuesday we have indoor PE and outdoor PE is Friday.  Please make sure that your child is in their correct kit and it would be useful if any earrings could not be worn on those days if your child finds taking them out hard.

In Class 5 we learn Spanish throughout the year and the children will take part in cooking sessions with our very own school cook at least once a term.

Each year around September/October time, we go on a residential for 1 night to Kingswood at Peak Venture.  This is a great taster for our Year 5 children who will go on a 2 day residential in Year 6.  Have a look at our latest trip in our photo gallery.

Homework is set on a Wednesday to be completed by the following Monday.  Your child will have 3 types of homework: talking homework, Maths and English.
